Meet the therapist:

Jill Hudak (she/her/hers)

Hi, I’m Jill—licensed professional counselor, registered art therapist, and someone who genuinely believes in the power of creativity to heal and transform.

I like to say that I didn’t exactly find my way into becoming a therapist—it found me. It all started back in 7th grade, during an assignment where we had to write an autobiography, including our dreams for the future. I knew I wanted to help people, but I wasn’t quite sure how yet. While typing away in Microsoft Word in the school computer lab (hello early 2000s!), I clicked the “synonyms” button for the word therapy, and one of the options was art therapy. I had no idea what that was, so I asked our substitute teacher—and, by some incredible coincidence, he knew allll about it. He explained how art could be used to help people heal, and something about that moment just clicked. From then on, I felt a strong pull toward becoming an art therapist.

Growing up, art was always my go-to way of making sense of things. When words weren’t enough, creating gave me a way to express what I was feeling. That personal connection to art is what drives my passion for offering both art therapy and talk therapy in my work today. I truly believe that everyone has a creative voice—and that voice can be a powerful guide toward healing, clarity, and growth.

These days, I feel incredibly lucky to do this work. When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you’ll probably find me learning a new art technique, growing flowers in my garden, tossing a ball for my energetic dogs, or laughing with my two small children.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you—to help you unfold your story, connect with your strengths, and move toward the life you want to live. It’s an honor I never take for granted.
